I can’t think of another five day period in my life that meant more to the direction I would take than my first Our Generation Camp back in 2011.
I had no idea what to expect when I arrived to the camp site. I had never heard of Vision Baptist Church, the Our Generation Training Center, or great men of the church who would later become mentors in my life. I went as a 18 year old, fresh High School graduate who had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. All I knew is I didn’t want to waste my life.
That week was spent under a lot of preaching, individual sessions, and sitting around and listening to missionaries from all around the world talk about how they were going to reach the world in this generation. I was taken back by the spirit and passion for world evangelism that was seen there. (Don’t worry we played games too)
It wasn’t until four years later that I would actually surrender to missions and move down to Alpharetta, GA to begin my studies at the Our Generation Training Center, but it was this camp and people I met from being there at this camp that drew me to eventually surrendering.
We will be kicking off our thirteenth annual Our Generation Camp this June, and I want to make a strong encouragement to anyone who loves Jesus, is looking for their role in serving Him, and doesn’t want their life to be wasted to consider attending this year’s camp. It had a great impact in my life and I know it can do the same for you!
