If We Had 10,000 Missionaries
India makes up one-seventh of the world’s population with over 1.3 billion people. Not only is the country the largest Hindu nation, but it is the second-largest Muslim nation. Ninety-eight percent of the population is worshipping another god and practicing a religion that cannot save. They spend their whole lives making sacrifices and doing good works, but it will not bring them salvation. Instead, India’s untruthful and misleading religions are running rampant and sending over a billion people to hell!
India is estimated to be the most populated country in less than four years. The population continues to multiply, yet there has not been much increase in the Christian population. Realistically, if 10,000 missionaries were to go to India, each would have to evangelize over 135,000 people to reach the non-Christian people. Ten thousand missionaries would be incredible, but still not enough!
The glorious gospel is not being proclaimed in India. More laborers need to go to this massive country. People are in dire need of hearing the salvation Christ offers. Would you pray that missionaries would be sent into the harvest of India? Truly, the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few.
